Front Cover: Tunable Bifunctional Activity of MnxCo3−xO4 Nanocrystals Decorated on Carbon Nanotubes for Oxygen Electrocatalysis (ChemSusChem 8/2018)

Abstract
The Front Cover illustrates an integrated manganese cobalt oxide/nitrogen-doped multiwalled carbon nanotube hybrid (MnCo2O4@NCNTs) bifunctional catalyst for the oxygen reduction and evolution reactions (ORR/OER), outperforming the commercial Pt/C and IrO2/C standards. The hybrid structure is rationally designed with careful control of surface chemistry and synthesis conditions, exhibits tunable and durable catalytic activities for both ORR and OER, and can be readily scaled up for alkaline fuel cells and metal–air batteries.
