Abstract
Abstract Two new cluster open framework borates, NaB 3 O 5 ·0.5H 2 O (1) and NH 4 NaB 6 O 10 (2) have been made under solvothermal conditions and characterized by IR, emission, and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, powder X‐ray diffraction and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The common structural features contain the oxoboron cluster building units, B 3 O 7 and B 6 O 13 cluster units for 1 and 2, in which the B 3 O 7 and B 6 O 13 clusters act as 4‐ and 6‐connected nodes to further link each other, resulting in chiral qtz and achiral pcu nets, respectively.
