Abstract
Abstract A compact coplanar waveguide fed monopole ultra‐wideband antenna having a frequency‐notch function is proposed. The notched frequency band can be achieved by including the two L‐shape striplines in the bottom of the substrate. The designed antenna has a notch band of 5.10–6.25 GHz while 10 dB return loss is ranged from 3.04 to 12.0 GHz. The measured return loss, radiation patterns, and gains are presented. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
