Abstract
Abstract A novel compact miniaturized stepped impedance low‐pass filter using an improved split ring resonator defected ground structure is proposed. This filter has the advantages of compact size, easy fabrication. When compared with conventional SIR, it has a sharp cutoff characteristic with low insertion loss. It is quite useful for common planar circuits and devices. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
