Abstract
Abstract A compact ultra‐wideband (UWB) band‐pass filter (BPF) with dual narrow notch‐bands based on a dual‐mode stepped impedance resonator (SIR) is presented. The proposed UWB filter employed broadside‐coupled microstrip ring‐coplanar waveguide structure. Two notch bands are obtained by introducing one coupled dual‐mode SIR with metalized via hole to ground. Theoretical and simulated results are presented, which are in good agreement with the measured results. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
