Abstract
Like all proton‐pump inhibitors (PPIs), esomeprazole has a generally good safety record. However, there is no true lowpotency formulation of esomeprazole available and therefore the growing use of this drug may increase the risk of dosedependent PPI adverse effects, argues Angus Thompson.
