Abstract
It has been argued that the peak of the quarkonium entropy at the deconfinement transition is related to the entropic force which induces dissociation of quarkonium states. In this paper, we study the effect of the gluon condensate on the entropic force in a dilaton black hole background, by using the AdS/CFT correspondence. It is shown that the dropping gluon condensate near Tc (the deconfinement temperature) increases the entropic force thus enhancing the quarkonium dissociation.
