Abstract
We present here a simple and novel procedure for fabricating silica and silicon oxycarbide uniform capsules with a hollow macroporous core/mesoporous shell structure. This method is based on the infiltration of sub-micrometer-size solid core/mesoporous shell silica particles with polycarbomethylsilane.
