Abstract
A simple and convenient solvothermal process has been developed for the preparation of CuInE2 (E = S, Se) nanorods from the elements in ethylenediamine at 280 °C. Liquid In and the strong capacity of ethylenediamine were found to play important roles in the nanorod growth and electron-transfer process.
