Abstract
Two functionalized Ru(II) complexes [Ru(bpy)2(PTZO)]2+ (1) and [Ru(phen)2(PTZO)]2+ (2) were synthesized, and complex 1 was characterized by crystallography. Photophysical and electrochemical studies suggest that the MLCT excited states of the complexes be dominated by the ligand PTZO.
