Abstract
Cationic oxorhenium salen complexes are prepared by the abstraction of bridging oxo ligands with [Et3Si][B(C6F5)4] and [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4]. These complexes catalyze the reduction of 2-butanone with Et3SiH under ambient conditions.
