Abstract
The specific position of a group in the molecule has been considered and a group vector space method for estimating boiling and melting points of organic compounds developed. Expressions for melting point Tm and boiling point Tb have been proposed, with the numerical values of relative group parameters presented. The average percent deviations of estimation of Tm and Tb are 6.80 and 1.40, respectively.
