Abstract
The specific position of the group in the molecule has been considered, and a group vector space (GVS) method for estimating boiling and melting points of hydrocarbons has been proposed. Expressions for boiling point Tb and melting point Tm have been proposed, with the numerical values of relative group parameters presented. The average percent deviations of estimation of the Tb and Tm values are 1.05 and 7.96, respectively.
