Abstract
Binding of quats to neutral receptors in chloroform is \nstrongly influenced by counteranion nature. Combination \nof quantitative data from our own and others’ investigations5b, \n6c11,12 indicates that the stability order Pic > TFA \n> I > Br > Cl > TsO appears to be quite general.
