Abstract
Self-assembly of Cd(II), 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane and 5-sulfoisophthalic acid monosodium salt in CH3OH–H2O solution produced a supramolecular open framework with 1D channels that encapsulates an infinite chain consisting of water decamers linked by Cd2+.
