Abstract
In this paper, a novel tag antenna for radio frequency identification (RFID) is proposed. The antenna operates in (Rin, ∞) modulation mode in 5.8 GHz band, with a size of 20 mm × 20 mm. The simulation results indicate that the radiation pattern is almost omnidirectional in the H-plane. And the experimental results show that the antenna has a distinguishability of approximate 20 dB near 5.8 GHz. The simulation and experiment give a satisfactory result.
