Abstract
A four-node dynamically reconfigurable optical network, using integrated add/drop devices, is demonstrated. Aggregate capacity of 1.6 Tbit/s (40 × 40 Gbit/s), spectral efficiency of 0.4 bit/s/Hz, Q values > 18 dB and wide tolerance to wavelength misalignment are key results.
