Abstract
A comparison is conducted between the radio emission characteristics of a sample of isolated pairs of spiral galaxies and those of a sample of isolated spiral galaxies for which complete distance information is available. It is noted that double galaxy total emission is, on average, a factor of 2 more powerful than that of isolated spiral galaxies of comparable luminosity. The radio emission enhancement in these double galaxies is correlated with a tidal index, in keeping with a tidal origin for the enhancement.
