Abstract
Oscillator strengths for the 3s 25112-3P 2P112,3I2 resonance doublet and the 3p 2P312-3d D2512 line in Ni xviii have been determined by using the beam-foil time-of-flight method. These lines are prominent features of solar flare spectra. The results are in agreement with recent relativistic predictions.
