Abstract
Observations have been made of the molecular cloud condensation Cep A, with resolutions down to 1 arcsec at 21 cm and 6 cm, using both the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope, and the NRAO Very Large Array. The condensation is seen to contain two strings of H II regions, which are interpreted as being produced by about 14 stars, each of which mimics main-sequence B3 stars; the length of each string is about 0.1 pc. The H II regions are very young, about 1000 yr old, and it is suggested that the envmronment is controlled by a magnetic field.
