Abstract
Propagation of nuclei through a background photon field is analyzed in order to obtain gamma-ray spectra from photonuclear and photopion reactions. The results are used for estimation of the effectiveness of the VHE gamma-ray production by point galactic sources. It demonstrates the potential importance of the processes of gamma-ray production involving background photons.
