Abstract
A new polarimeter capable of simultaneous observations in the U, B, V, R and I optical bands and one of the J, H, K, L and M near-infrared bands has been constructed. The polarimeter has good polarization efficiency and sensitivity in all bands and has an instrumental polarization < 0.03 per cent. The polarimeter has been used for a number of different astrophysical programs.
