Analysis of the linear response of quantum liquids in the near-asymptotic region

Abstract
We apply and compare several recently formulated theories for the response of quantum liquids close to the asymptotic limit to data on liquid $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ for q\ensuremath{\ge}7 /rA${\mathrm{\r{}}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}1}$ at temperatures below and slightly above the transition temperature. Also, one $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ data set is analyzed.
