Abstract
We study the transverse flow for the systems having various isospin ratios. We find that the transverse flow is sensitive toward the neutron content and, in fact, increases with the neutron content of a reaction. We also study the sensitivity of the transverse flow toward the density dependence of the symmetry energy and find that the flow increases with the stiffness of the symmetry energy. The relative contribution of the symmetry energy and isospin dependence of the nucleon-nucleon cross section is also investigated.
