Abstract
Using a data sample of $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\text{ }\text{ }B\overline{B}$ pairs collected on the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider, we report the observation of ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and the first observation of ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. We measure a decay branching fraction of $(0.83\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.17\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.17)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ for ${M}_{{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}}<1.22\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$ with a significance of 5.5 standard deviations. The contribution from ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{K}^{0}$ is excluded. We measure a decay branching fraction of $(4.58\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.17\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.67)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ for ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ with ${M}_{{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}}<1.3\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$ with a significance of 5.4 standard deviations. We study the difference of the ${M}_{p\overline{p}}$ distributions in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$.
