Abstract
An SO(10) model for the lepton sector, with constraints imposed by the Fritzsch ansatz, is discussed. It is found that ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{e}$ is much lighter than ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ and ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$, which are almost degenerate in mass with substantial mixing between them. A small ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{e}$-${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ mixing angle theta\ensuremath{\simeq}4\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} is predicted. CP-violation effects in the leptonic sector are found to be negligible.
