Abstract
The full analytic result of the quark contribution to ${F}_{L}$(x,${Q}^{2}$) up to next-to-leading order is presented. The phenomenological implications are discussed for the large-x region, where gluons are not supposed to be relevant but other effects, such as higher twist, have to be included.
