Direct measurement ofB(Ds+→φX+)

Abstract
The absolute inclusive branching fraction of ${D}_{s}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\varphi}{X}^{+}$ has been measured from data collected by the BES detector at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 22.3 pb${}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. At this energy, direct pair production ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{s}^{+}{D}_{s}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ has been observed. We have selected ${D}_{s}$ candidate events by reconstructing five hadronic decay modes ${D}_{s}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\varphi}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$, ${K}^{0*}{K}^{+}$, ${K}^{0}{K}^{+}$, ${f}_{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ and ${K}^{0}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ and have searched for inclusive $\ensuremath{\varphi}$'s in the recoiling ${D}_{s}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. We observed three recoiling $\ensuremath{\varphi}$'s in the 166.4 $\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}$ 31.8 ${D}_{s}$ candidate events, which leads to the absolute branching fraction ${B(D}_{s}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\varphi}{X}^{+}{)=(17.8}_{\ensuremath{-}7.2}^{+15.1}{}_{\ensuremath{-}6.3}^{+0.6}) %$ and ${B(D}_{s}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\varphi}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{)=(3.6}_{\ensuremath{-}1.6}^{+3.1}{}_{\ensuremath{-}1.3}^{+0.4}) %$.
