Abstract
A sample of 3.95M $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ decays registered in the BES detector are used to study final states containing pairs of octet and decuplet baryons. We report branching fractions for $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p},$ $\ensuremath{\Lambda}\overline{\ensuremath{\Lambda}},$ ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{0}{\overline{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}^{0},$ ${\ensuremath{\Xi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}^{+},$ ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}^{++}{\overline{\ensuremath{\Delta}}}^{\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{-}},$ ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{+}(1385){\overline{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}(1385),$ ${\ensuremath{\Xi}}^{0}(1530){\overline{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}^{0}(1530),$ and ${\ensuremath{\Omega}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}^{+}.$ These results are compared to expectations based on the $\mathrm{SU}(3)$-flavor symmetry, factorization, and perturbative QCD.
