Abstract
We report measurements of branching fractions for $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ decays into $\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ ${b}_{1}\ensuremath{\pi},$ $\ensuremath{\omega}{f}_{2}(1270),$ $\ensuremath{\omega}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ $\ensuremath{\omega}p\overline{p},$ $\ensuremath{\varphi}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ $\ensuremath{\varphi}{f}_{0}(980),$ $\ensuremath{\varphi}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ and an upper limit for $\ensuremath{\varphi}p\overline{p}$ final states based on a data sample of $(4.02\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.22)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ events collected with the BESI detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. The branching fractions for ${b}_{1}\ensuremath{\pi}$ and $\ensuremath{\omega}{f}_{2}(1270)$ update previous BES results, while those for other decay modes are first measurements. The ratios of $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ and $J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ branching fractions are smaller than what is expected from the $12%$ rule by a factor of 5 for $\ensuremath{\omega}{f}_{2}(1270)$ and by a factor of 2 for $\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ $\ensuremath{\omega}p\overline{p},$ and $\ensuremath{\varphi}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ while for other studied channels the ratios are consistent with expectations within errors.
