Abstract
We present results on the production of direct photons, ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$, and $\ensuremath{\eta}$ mesons on nuclear targets at large transverse momenta (${p}_{T}$). The data are from 530 and $800\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/c$ proton beams and $515\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/c$ ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ beams incident upon copper and beryllium targets that span the kinematic range of $1.0<{p}_{T}\ensuremath{\lesssim}10\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/c$ at central rapidities.
