Abstract

Using $58\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ events collected with the Beijing Spectrometer (BESII) at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider, the decays $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\rho}$ and $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\rho}$ are searched for, and upper limits on their branching fractions are reported at the 90% C.L. No clear structures are observed in the $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\rho}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\phi}$, or $\ensuremath{\rho}\ensuremath{\phi}$ mass spectra for $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\rho}$ nor in the $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\rho}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\omega}$, or $\ensuremath{\rho}\ensuremath{\omega}$ mass spectra for $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\rho}$.
