Observation ofDs1(2536)+→D+π−K+and angular decomposition ofDs1(2536)+→D*+KS0

Abstract

Using $462\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ annihilation data recorded by the Belle detector, we report the first observation of the decay ${D}_{s1}(2536{)}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{K}^{+}$. The ratio of branching fractions $\frac{\mathcal{B}({D}_{s1}(2536{)}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{K}^{+})}{\mathcal{B}({D}_{s1}(2536{)}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*+}{K}^{0})}$ is measured to be $(3.27\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.18\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.37)%$. We also study the angular distributions in the ${D}_{s1}(2536{)}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*+}{K}_{S}^{0}$ decay and measure the ratio of $D$- and $S$-wave amplitudes. The $S$-wave dominates, with a partial width of ${\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{S}/{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{\mathrm{total}}=0.72\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.05\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.01$.
