Studies of beauty baryon decays toD0ph−andΛc+h−final states

Abstract

Decays of beauty baryons to the ${D}^{0}p{h}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}^{+}{h}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ final states (where $h$ indicates a pion or a kaon) are studied using a data sample of $pp$ collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $1.0\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$, collected by the LHCb detector. The Cabibbo-suppressed decays ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{0}p{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ are observed, and their branching fractions are measured with respect to the decays ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{0}p{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. In addition, the first observation is reported of the decay of the neutral beauty-strange baryon ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_{b}^{0}$ to the ${D}^{0}p{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ final state, and a measurement of the ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_{b}^{0}$ mass is performed. Evidence of the ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay is also reported.
