Abstract
A search for the process ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ has been performed with the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. The data were accumulated at the center-of-mass energy of $957.78\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.06\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}$ with an integrated luminosity of about $2.9\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{pb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. For reconstruction of the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ meson, five decay chains have been used: ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ followed by the $\ensuremath{\eta}$ decays to $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and $3{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ and ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ followed by the $\ensuremath{\eta}$ decays to ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$, and $3{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. As a result, the following upper limit has been set on the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ electronic width: ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}}_{{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}}<0.0020\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{eV}$ at the 90% confidence level.
