Measurement of the γ*γ*→η′ transition form factor

Abstract
We study the process ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ in the double-tag mode and measure for the first time the ${\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{\ensuremath{\star}}{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{\ensuremath{\star}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ transition form factor ${F}_{{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}}({Q}_{1}^{2},{Q}_{2}^{2})$ in the momentum-transfer range $2<{Q}_{1}^{2}$, ${Q}_{2}^{2}<60\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{GeV}}^{2}$. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of around $469\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ collected at the PEP-II ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV.
