Abstract
Simultaneous logic and its inverse operation in a single circuit is very important and effective research topics in optical computing recently. Many designes have been proposed by many authors in different approach. Among them micro-ring resonator based `directed logic' circuit is attractive, because it can be easily fabricated in chip level. But most of the proposed logic circuits are based on electrical pumping. To over come the optical-electrical bottleneck here we have used optical pumping rather than electrical. In this literature we proposed two cascaded micro-ring resonator based all optical circuit capable of carrying out simultaneous XOR and XNOR operations. Simulation results confirming described method is also reported. The proposed all-optical logic circuit can be easily extended to n-bit XOR/XNOR circuit which is also shown in this manuscript.
