Abstract
Massive communication constellations in development such as OneWeb are redefining the concept of constellations, offering serial production of hundreds of satellites with a low recurrent cost. In this SAR constellation concept Airbus has taken such a low cost platform with the benefits it offers and paired it with a low cost SAR payload offering an attractive solution to constellations. A maritime surveillance constellation configuration to offer global access in <;3hrs with only 16 satellites utilizing this approach is presented.
