Some peculiarities of surface electromagnetic waves radiated by electron bunches that intersect a metal-dielectric-semiconductor structure
2004Vol. 1, pp. 386–388
Abstract
Nowadays a great attention is paid to the investigation of the transition radiation of short and intense electromagnetic pulses by electron bunches. Such kind of pulses hold much promise for radiolocation. Nevertheless, a problem of transition radiation of surface electromagnetic waves by electron bunches has not been considered yet. In the present paper we investigate the transition radiation of surface electromagnetic pulses by a nonrelativistic electron bunch intersecting a metal-dielectric-semiconductor structure.
