Abstract
In present study we estimate the communication path utilization efficiency for the RTSP and GigE Vision streaming technology in form of coefficient and thereafter use it to compare those technologies. Our findings suggest that GigE Vision technology has higher performance in terms of communication path utilization efficiency. Results of the study could be used to estimate and improve the efficiency of existing video streaming systems and to predict the efficiency of the newly created systems at their early design stages.
