Abstract
Conflict of interest: the authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest. Dear Editor, Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is an invaluable treatment for cancer, which has expanded significantly in recent years, with over 32 Mohs units and 98 practising Mohs surgeons in the UK.1, 2 There is a paucity of data on the current work practices of UK MMS surgeons, with the last national survey completed in 2011.3 We identified current MMS practices in the UK by distributing a survey via email to members of the British Society of Dermatologic Surgery, which was completed online (Surveyhero© website; https://www.surveyhero.com/) during the period February–July 2020. There were 71 responders (53 men, 18 women), giving a response rate of 72.4%. Of these, 83% had completed their MMS training in the UK, while 14% had completed their fellowship abroad. A higher percentage of respondents had undertaken training in the UK compared with those responding in 2011 (83% vs. 74%) and of these, 88% had undertaken a 1‐year fellowship.
