Canadian Journal of Botany1977Vol. 55(4), pp. 383–392
Abstract
Five new species of Delitschia from Venezuela are described and photographed. These are D. dochmiophragma on dung of horse, D. ionthada on dung of burro, D. mesostenospora on dung of burro, D. sexdecimspora on dung of horse, and D. spiralirima on dung of cow. The genus Delitschia is restricted to species in which the bitunicate asci have dark, two-celled ascospores, each cell being provided with an elongated germ slit, surrounded by a gelatinous sheath. Additional records are included for three previously described species.
