Abstract
A parametric stress-fatigue life relationship developed for metals has been adapted to composite material systems and validated by using data from the literature and an extensive test program on XMC polyester/glass. The employed parameter accounts for the effects of mean stress in a fatigue history and results in simplified design curves.
