Abstract
This essay provides a recent voice from the field in focusing on how the Human Rights Council process is carried out, specifically highlighting the Special Rapporteur on the Situation of the Human Rights in Eritrea. By focusing on the interactive process of this one presentation, based on the author’s primary source observation of the UN session, this essay provides analysis on the strengths, weaknesses, and a first-hand account of the most far-reaching international human rights body in the world.
