Abstract
Abstract : The general participation of carborane and its derivatives in standard organic chemical transformations was established. Reactions of carborane and some functionally substituted derivatives are described. Differences in the reactivity of the hydrogen atoms attached to carbon atoms of carborane from those attached to the boron atoms was demonstrated.
