Abstract
One of the original questions in defining the design of the VD LArTPC was whether to adopt a configuration with three or two readout planes, where the former is a well-established technology and has since been identified as the reference configuration. In this note, event reconstruction studies comparing the 3-view and the 2-view option, carried out using the HD geometry as the best available option at the time of writing, are described, indicating that the latter option would have potentially lower performance.
