Abstract
Stannane, SnH4, reacts with HCl, HBr, and HI at -112° to give the monohalostannanes and hydrogen. Patassium stannyl has been prepared by the reaction of stannane with slurries of finely divided KOH i both dimethylsulfoxide and monoglyme, and by the reaction of stannane with a standard solution of KGeH3 in diglyme.
