REACTION $pi$$sup -$p $Yields$ p$pi$$sup +$$pi$$sup -$$pi$$sup -$$pi$$sup 0$ AT 20 GeV/c.

Abstract

+--bata from the reaction 1 p v Plr 71: T T' at 20 GeV/c are studied in detail.The cross sections for the producti on of P, no and wo mesons, and 8(1236) isobars are estimate d.The channels Pnow-and pa)ow-are compared with a Double Regge Pole Model calculati on and the cross section for the contribution from individu al diagrams calculat ed.The data are divided by the method of longitudi nal phase space and each category examined in detail.A search is made for_poss ible producti on of p-(1700) , Al and A2 and upper limits placed on their cross sections . 1
