Charmonium Production at BABAR
2004
Abstract
The authors present three analyses on charmonium production using 89 fb{sup -1} of e{sup +}e{sup -} collision data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring operating at the {Upsilon}(4S) at SLAC. A precise measurement of the {eta}{sub c} total width is obtained from a study of the invariant K{sub s}{sup 0}K{sup {+-}}{pi}{sup {-+}} mass spectrum for a sample of {eta}{sub c} mesons produced in two-photon interactions. The total width of the J/{psi} meson is measured using initial state radiation e{sup +}e{sup -} {yields} {mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}{gamma} events. Finally branching fraction measurements for the exclusive B meson decays B{sup 0} {yields} J/{psi} p{bar p} and B{sup +} {yields} J/{psi} p{bar {Lambda}} are presented.
