Intermezzo: Is There a Canadian Musical Theatre?
Canadian Theatre Review2017Vol. 171, pp. 50–51
Abstract
CTR asked several musical theatre writers the following question: “Musical theatre is, in its origins, an American idiom. As a Canadian working in this idiom, do you think there’s something unique about a Canadian musical, and is there anything that differentiates a Canadian musical or musical theatre writer from an American musical or musical theatre writer?” In this article, brief responses to this question are provided by Kevin Wong, Veda Hille, Jonathan Munro, Scott Christian, Jim Betts.
